Death and Hades?
by The Finger ini'm not sure i understand this.
in revelation it tells us that jesus has the keys to death and hades and there are two horses death and hades.. as a witness i understood that hades was the equivalent of sheol, (the unseen place, i think) hades was the common grave of mankind.
surely to have the keys to death and hades would suggest that not all dead are in hades and jesus can get them out.

Does the Governing Body say only apostates will die at Armageddon?
by blondie inmany of them in ignorance practice things that god's word shows to be wicked.
if they persist in this course, they will be among those who perish during the great tribulation.----------------------------------------------------------------------------"only jehovah's witnesses, those of the anointed remnant and the "great crowd," as a united organization under the protection of the supreme organizer, have any scriptural hope of surviving the impending end of this doomed system dominated by satan the devil.
" watchtower 1989 sep. 1 p.19 .

I understood only those who have washed their robes white in the blood of lamb would survive the great tribulation. "In other words, they have exercised faith in Jesus as their Ransomer, and have made a dedication to Jehovah, have symbolized their dedication by water baptism, and "hold a good conscience" by their upright conduct. .. they keep themselves "without spot from the world.. Further, they have become zealous Witnesses of Jehovah" (Revelation its grand climax at hand! Pg.126)

An Online Game of Telephone.....
by AK - Jeff injust like the parlor game - you read what the person before you has written, attempt to repeat it as precisely as possible without looking at it more than once.. don't look at any previous posters' postings.
as you look now, you should only be able to see this panel, so scroll to the bottom of the latest page, read once and post.
let's see how this turns out.

Had any Dreams Lately you Want to Share ? What Meanings do you Get ?
by flipper ingawd- i had a crazy dream last night.
in books i've read about dreaming- it has stated many times dreams are about " unfinished situations " in your life that are trying to sort out within your dreams.. my dream was : my son flipper junior and me were being chased by government thugs who wanted us to release some important numbers - a code we had written down.
only problem was is this code had information that would cost our families & friends lives if these government people got them from us.

Do you find in dreams that you speak to someone and you wait for the answer whilst you wait you are unsure of how they will answer and then you are surprised by the answer?
Or do you think you are awake and going about your day and it suddenly dawns on you that you not awake and it's not real and you fight like hell to come out of it as if you in a deep lake and desparately trying to breathe you must wake up but can you?

British TV themes: THE PERSUADERS (my version)
by Terry ini love british tv of the 60's.
one of the all time great series was the persuaders with tony curtis and roger moore.
it was right up there with danger man (secret agent).. the brits had john barry pen the theme to the persuaders and and i thought i'd do my own arrangement.. enjoy!.

I enjoyed that and i used to like danger man my favourite was the Saint, on a sunday night. Something to look forward to as a kid after a boring mostly cold morning in field service and two and a half hours at the meetings with the walk to and from the hall we had no car in those days. Even in the worst winter on record my father still had to get to the hall.

Another GEM from the 9/15/10 WT
by civicsi00 inthis is taken word for word from the study article entitled: "unity identifies true worship", page 13, paragraph 8:.
"similarly today, a governing body composed of spirit-anointed christians contributes to the unity of the worldwide congregation.
the governing body publishes spiritually encouraging literature in many languages.

"Thus, what is taught is not from men but from Jehovah."
So then the false teachings are attributed to God. Which seems grossly disrespectful. Having said that they do not acknowledge them as false, saying that they were what we needed at the time.

The ad hoc Generation
by TD into me, the word, "generation" has always been one of those fuzzy terms with an annoyingly slippery definition set.. i have a blood relative who was the very youngest child in a family of 13. the age difference between him and his oldest siblings is more than twenty years and some of them were actually married and had children of their own before he was even born.
therefore some of his nieces and nephews are actually older than he is.
one nephew that he was especially close to when he was growing up is almost exactly his age, as they were both born in the same month of the same year.. a situation like this; where an uncle is the exact same age as his nephew can easily occur in very large families and makes you think about what exactly the term, "generation" really means.

TD,
Thank you for explaining that. I think I understand it a little clearer now. I asked an Elder this past Sunday and he didn't seem to know. I don't believe this new explanation from the GB is anymore valid than the last one.
